GEMINI study results in new entry in OMIM database

The study lead by Estonian collaborators demonstrated that mutation in the FANCM gene on chromosome 14q21 causes non-obstructive azoospermia, with a Sertoli cell-only phenotype observed in testicular tissue. The finding resulted in Spermatogenic failure 28 being added to the OMIM database (ID #618086).

GEMINI 2017 Annual Meeting

Annual GEMINI meeting was held in the framework of the 11th International Congress of Andrology (ICA) 2017 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The meeting included an update on the current status and most recent results of the study by GEMINI co-PI Don Conrad. GEMINI project was also well represented at the ICA 2017 program with oral talks by Don Conrad, Ewa Rajpert-De Meyts, Kristian Almstrup, Maris Laan and Csilla Krausz, but also with several poster presentations.
